Position: Human Resources Specialist - Split ShiftNormal Hours: Monday - Friday 1 pm - 10 pm (once fully trained &amp; signed off).Training Hours: Before able to work normal shift hours, must be available to work 6:30 am - 3:30 pm until signed off (potentially a couple of months or longer depending on the situation).Must be available to work additional hours, shifts (when needed), &amp; overtime. Possible rare occasion weekend hours. Must be flexible on work hours, as this position would cover the Blue/day shift when needed &amp; for PTO usage 6:30 am - 3:30 pm. Exempt/Non-Exempt: Exempt - Full Time****Please note there may be a delayed employer response as we are closed for winter shutdown &amp; will return Monday, January 5, 2026.****The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for various functional areas of Human Resources, with duties that may include the following:Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Responsible for the accurate audit &amp; data entry for all items, specifically new hires, personnel changes, &amp; terminations</li><li>Maintain knowledge of legal requirements &amp; government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions &amp; ensure compliance with policies and procedures</li><li>Coordinate &amp; participate in recruiting efforts, including marketing, job fairs, interviews, hiring decisions, job offers, background screening, &amp; scheduling orientation</li><li>Conduct new hire orientation &amp; ongoing developmental training programs.</li><li>Administer requests and fulfilment of temporary employment orders, assisting with Variable Team Members &amp; working with temporary staffing agency on any issues, etc.</li><li>Assist &amp; summarize employee investigations.</li><li>Assist with all facets of company-sponsored events &amp; employee appreciation activities/gifts, including the creation of proposals, site-selection, vendor reviews, contract negotiation, event flow, space requirements, catering, analysis of effectiveness, ideas for employee appreciation, activities, gifts, etc.</li><li>Maintain, adhere to, track expenses, &amp; report on budget for employee appreciation activities &amp; community events.</li><li>Develop relationships within the community, including those with charitable organizations, school systems, &amp; peer competitors &amp; promote volunteerism/charitable donations.</li><li>Monitor &amp; increase employee engagement, including use of surveys, round table lunches, incentives, events, &amp; employee communications.</li><li>Create &amp; maintain company calendar of events, contests/drawings, ticket sales &amp; distribution &amp; employee discounts.</li><li>Assist with employee leave programs, including FMLA leaves, USERRA, &amp; company-provided leaves of absences, in accordance with applicable laws &amp; policies.</li><li>Administer &amp; communicate employee benefit programs in compliance with governmental requirements.</li><li>Administer &amp; prepare employee Corrective Actions.</li><li>Oversee &amp;/or assist with workers&rsquo; compensation claims &amp; compliance with OSHA reporting requirements.</li><li>In HRIS system &amp; in electronic personnel files, maintain employee data, including title, department, hierarchy, pay rates, &amp; demographic information &amp; provide monthly reporting.</li><li>Oversee time worked &amp; attendance of hourly employees. Communicate with supervisors as needed. Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws.</li><li>Process payroll, including tax rates, employee withholdings, &amp; garnishments.</li><li>Maintain &amp; report daily, weekly, monthly, etc. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reports as assigned, analyze trends, &amp; recommend improvements.</li><li>Manage &amp; prepare travel support items for employees traveling to support other Vuteq locations (i.e., make flight arrangements, rental car or company car arrangements, expense report preparation, etc.)</li><li>Additional various human resources tasks such as responding to unemployment claims, etc.</li><li>Additional administrative duties such as answering the gate bell, ordering/picking up food for other departments as needed, etc.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li><li>Works under general supervision.</li><li>Knowledge of Environmental ISO14001 preferred.</li></ul>Skills and Abilities:<ul><li>Must convey a positive professional image &amp; must maintain high degree of confidentiality</li><li>Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, policies, procedures, &amp; governmental regulations within the field of human resources.</li><li>Flexibility to work multiple shifts, as necessary</li><li>Effective communication skills, including verbal, written, &amp; interpersonal</li><li>High energy, detail-oriented individual with a positive attitude</li><li>Strong organizational &amp; time management skills with an ability to multi-task</li><li>Demonstrated ability to achieve results with efficiency &amp; effectiveness</li><li>Proficient in MS Office skills including Word, Excel, &amp; PowerPoint</li><li>Superior analytical reasoning &amp; problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to work independently &amp; as part of team with management &amp; associates at all levels</li></ul>Education/Experience: <ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in related field or 2 years of related experience preferred</li><li>PHR or SPHR preferred</li></ul>The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature &amp; level of work being performed by employees &amp; are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of duties &amp; requirements.
