Office Manager/Administrative Assistant &ndash; Commercial Construction CompanyLocation: Lexington, SC (On-site only &ndash; very little, if any remote work available) Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday&ndash;Friday, 8:00 AM &ndash; 5:00 PM (with 1-hour lunch break) Salary: $35,000 &ndash; $45,000 per year, based on experienceAbout the Role We are a growing commercial construction company headquartered in Lexington, SC, specializing in high-quality subcontracting services for various building projects. We're seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Office Manager/Administrative Assistant to handle the day-to-day administrative and financial operations of our office. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where you'll work independently while coordinating with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and leadership.If you're organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities without constant supervision&mdash;but still enjoy interacting with people to get things scheduled and coordinated&mdash;this could be a great fit.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks (including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance)</li><li>Process payroll for employees and subcontractors</li><li>Process vendor payments through various vendor websites/portals.</li><li>Schedule jobs, meetings, and subcontractor coordination</li><li>Prepare and assemble submittal packages for projects</li><li>Acquire and manage necessary business licenses and permits</li><li>Manage cloud-based file storage systems (organization, access, backups)</li><li>Manage hotel reservations for field crews when needed.</li><li>Handle general office duties such as correspondence, filing, supply ordering, and vendor coordination</li><li>Support other administrative needs to keep operations running smoothly</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks (proficiency in both Desktop and Online versions strongly preferred)</li><li>Strong experience with Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel and Word)</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while being personable and communicative for scheduling and coordination</li><li>Comfortable learning construction-specific materials, labor codes, and terminology quickly (construction-related field experience preferred but not required)</li><li>Reliable transportation and ability to work on-site full-time in Lexington, SC</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with iPad or Mac devices and apps</li><li>Familiarity with construction project management software (e.g., ProCore, AutoDesk, BuilderTrend)&mdash;please highlight any relevant experience on your resume</li><li>Previous office or administrative experience in construction, subcontracting, or a related industry</li><li>Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) &ndash; this is a huge plus for effective communication with diverse teams, subcontractors, and vendors but certainly not required.</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Paid Time Off (PTO) available after 6 months of employment</li><li>Paid holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day</li></ul>No formal education requirements&mdash;practical experience and skills matter most here.How to Apply Please submit your resume through Indeed.
