<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Summary</b></h2>
<p>
The basic function of the Fabricator is to measure, cut, punch, bend, and fasten chassis and face panels and sub-assemblies used in the manufacture of all scoreboard products. This is an hourly position based in Houston, Texas.</p>
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Responsibilities</b></h2>
<ul><li>Read the production schedule and determine what must be completed before the end of the day.</li>
<li>Inspect each sheet of metal for flaws and use measuring tape to ensure the correct size.</li>
<li>Determine how best to efficiently utilize one sheet of metal for multiple parts.</li>
<li>Move materials as needed to supply fabrication and transfer material to other departments.</li>
<li>Operate plasma tables, shear, brakes, CNC, and other fabrication equipment.</li>
<li>Inspect each fabricated sub assembly for correctness prior to transferring it to another department.</li>
<li>Read and interpret drawings and layout and cut sheet metal per design.</li>
<li>Crosstrain in all steps of the fabrication process for assigned product family.</li>
<li>Wears PPE always when using tools and equipment.</li>
<li>Accurately record time for labor costing and payroll purposes.</li>
<li>Periodically assist other departments with their job functions when directed by the supervisor.</li>
</ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Qualifications/Skills:</b></h2>
<ul><li>Must demonstrate the ability to properly handle and modify sheet metal to an acceptable quality level.</li>
<li>Must be able to utilize hand tools and measuring equipment.</li>
<li>Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.</li>
<li>Operate Windows and OS2 computers, and mobile devices and use the appropriate authorized business applications, including PYRO, Outlook, Word, Excel, and other systems as assigned.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.</li>
<li>Must be able to work safely.</li>
<li>Must be able to perform basic math skills and read a tape measure to 1/16 of an inc.</li>
<li>Prior experience working with metal in a manufacturing setting is preferred.</li>
</ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Education and Licensing</b></h2>
<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED.</li>
<li>A minimum of one year of related experience is preferred.</li>
