Reporting into the Executive Director Strategy and Corporate Services, this newly created and unique position will drive cross functional collaboration across the organisation to drive, corporate planning, service planning, strategic asset management and property, and enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring the effective alignment of our people, assets, and services with community needs and Council's long term vision.The Successful Candidate will:<ul><li>Corporate and Strategic Planning - Overseeing the development, integration, and monitoring of Council's corporate and community plans, ensuring clear alignment with legislative requirements and community outcomes.</li><li>Service Planning and Performance - Guiding service reviews, improvement initiatives, and performance frameworks to enhance organisational efficiency and value to the community.</li><li>Strategic Asset Management - Providing leadership in the strategic management of Council's asset portfolio, ensuring sustainable investment, renewal, and optimisation.</li><li>Property Management - Overseeing property strategy, acquisition, disposal, and utilisation to support Council's long term objectives.</li></ul>About You:You are a collaborative and strategic leader with strong analytical and communication skills. You thrive in complex environments and have the ability to balance operational priorities with long term strategic outcomes. Reporting into the Executive Director City Futures, this pivotal executive role will be responsible for ensuring that the council's infrastructure and capital investment programs are delivered effectively, sustainably, and in alignment with our long-term strategic priorities.You will ensure our Project Management Office (PMO) drives best-practice delivery standards, risk management, and continuous improvement across all projects, from concept and design to construction and handover.Working in partnership with the Executive Leadership Team, you will translate strategic objectives into actionable programs, embedding a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence in project delivery. Responsibilities <ul><li>Advise the CEO, Mayor & Councillors on project performance and delivery risks.</li><li>Inspire teams and drive accountability across large-scale project portfolios.</li><li>Join a vibrant, positive, and progressive local government organisation.</li></ul>The Successful Candidate will:<ul><li>Provide strategic leadership and governance across the Project Management Office, capital works, and project delivery functions.</li><li>Oversee planning and execution of council's multi-year capital program, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification.</li><li>Develop and embed a consistent project management framework that promotes transparency, performance, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Lead portfolio prioritisation and resource allocation aligned with council's strategic plan and financial sustainability objectives.</li><li>Drive innovation and value through smart procurement, risk management, and data-driven decision-making.</li><li>Foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external agencies to achieve integrated infrastructure outcomes.</li><li>Provide high-level advice to the CEO, Mayor, and Councillors on project performance, delivery risks, and investment priorities.</li></ul> About You You are an experienced and strategic infrastructure leader with a strong record of managing complex capital programs, project delivery and project management.
