Join our organization and revitalize our record-keeping and bring more organization to our financials. This role is ideal for a self-directed professional who takes full ownership of the books from day-to-day transactions through monthly close. This is a part time position with flexible days. There will be clear expectations and autonomy in this role.Responsibilities<ul><li>You will work closely with ownership to ensure financial clarity, timely reporting, and sound decision-making</li><li>Analyze and report on financial status including income statement, balance sheet, cash projection</li><li>Assist in inventory reconciliation</li><li>Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions</li><li>Oversee sales taxes</li><li>Perform weekly bank and credit‑card reconciliations, ensuring there are zero uncategorized transactions by the close of each week.</li><li>Code every expense accurately to the appropriate job or overhead account</li><li>Enter vendor bills and maintain organized records.</li><li>Process payments: online billing, cash/check, client billing</li><li>Call/E-mail AR customers to obtain the necessary information to invoice/bill according to each customer&rsquo;s needs for invoice processing</li><li>QuickBooks data entry: Sales Receipts, Invoices, Receiving Payments, Bank Deposit</li><li>Proactively resolve any issues for unpaid invoices</li><li>Update chart of accounts</li><li>Payroll</li><li>Close month by 15th day of following month</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>4+ years of experience</li><li>Strong computer skills - Quickbooks and Excel knowledge required</li><li>Good customer service attitude, willingness to jump in and help with issues</li><li>High attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to work independently</li><li>Proven bookkeeping experience</li><li>Accuracy and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to work independently</li><li>High level of integrity and confidentiality</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Jenison, MI 49428
