West Wood Coffee and Social is looking for a versatile and enthusiastic full-time team member to join our growing team! As a cozy caf&eacute; and small restaurant with an expanding lunch menu, we&rsquo;re seeking someone adaptable, eager to learn, and excited to grow with us in both kitchen and caf&eacute; operations.Position: Full-TimeSchedule: Monday&ndash;Saturday, 7:00 AM &ndash; 3:30 PM (Weekend and occasional special event availability may be required)Wages: $10&ndash;$13 per hour + tips, depending on experiencePosition OverviewThis hybrid role blends kitchen and barista responsibilities. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can move seamlessly between back-of-house and front-of-house duties, and is committed to delivering high-quality food, beverages, and customer experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesKitchen Duties:<ul><li>Pre-prep ingredients and assist with daily kitchen setup</li><li>Bake and cook menu items, including breakfast and lunch offerings</li><li>Prepare, cook, plate, and serve food in a timely and consistent manner</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspace</li><li>Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health protocols</li><li>Assist with dishwashing and kitchen cleanup as needed</li></ul>Barista &amp; Front-of-House Duties:<ul><li>Prepare and serve coffee and tea beverages to standard</li><li>Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere</li><li>Take accurate orders and operate POS system (Toast preferred)</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of caf&eacute;, equipment, and seating areas</li><li>Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs</li></ul>General &amp; Team Support:<ul><li>Adapt quickly between kitchen and caf&eacute; roles throughout shifts</li><li>Assist customers at the register and during service</li><li>Support daytime operations and occasional events</li><li>Work collaboratively to ensure smooth and efficient service</li></ul>Skills &amp; Qualifications<ul><li>Experience in food service, barista work, or kitchen prep preferred</li><li>Strong customer service and communication skills</li><li>Ability to adapt quickly and handle multiple roles during a shift</li><li>Good time management in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Basic math skills for cash handling</li><li>Knowledge of food safety practices</li><li>Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented</li><li>Positive attitude and team mindset</li><li>Passion for food, coffee, and hospitality</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Friendly, team-oriented work environment</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Opportunity for growth and increased responsibility</li><li>Involvement in ongoing menu development</li><li>Cross-training in both kitchen and caf&eacute; operations</li></ul>Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hourWork Location: In person
