Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to attorneys across a diverse range of practice areas, including estate planning, immigration, family law, and more. Your proactive approach and exceptional organizational skills will ensure the smooth operation of our law office, enabling our legal professionals to focus on delivering outstanding client service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal administrative expertise while contributing to impactful legal work. Proficiency in Spanish, or the ability to utilize a translation platform is an attribute.Duties<ul><li>Manage and maintain legal case files using document management systems.</li><li>Conduct thorough legal resources to support case preparation and strategy.</li><li>Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, correspondence, and reports with precision and clarity.</li><li>Assist attorneys with document review, organization, and data entry for litigation, transactional work, or regulatory compliance.</li><li>Schedule appointments, court dates, client meetings, and coordinate interviews while maintaining an organized calendar.</li><li>Prepare transcripts and transcriptions for court proceedings or client interviews with attention to detail.</li><li>Provide executive administrative support by managing phone etiquette, organizing files, handling incoming correspondence, and supporting project management efforts across multiple practice areas.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Paralegal experience or legal administrative experience preferred.</li><li>Strong understanding of Microsoft Office software.</li><li>Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear legal drafts and perform proofreading with high accuracy.</li><li>Demonstrated organizational skills in managing complex schedules, filing systems, and document review processes.</li><li>Experience in interviewing clients or witnesses is a plus for supporting case development efforts.</li><li>Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced law office environment.
