This is a PART-TIME position (Tuesday, Wed, and Thursday 8:30-4pm) The Front/Back Office Medical Assistant serves as the welcoming face of our clinic, playing a crucial role in creating a professional, courteous, and efficient experience for patients and visitors. As a Front/Back Office Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the clinic. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Additionally, the ideal candidate for this position will have a genuine desire to work with the medically uninsured population.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Greet patients warmly, assist with check-in procedures, and ensure a positive first impression</li><li>Verify patient demographics, eligibility, and required documentation</li><li>Schedule appointments and manage front desk calendars</li><li>Answer phones and route calls appropriately</li><li>Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations</li><li>Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support patient flow</li><li>Assist in managing waiting room comfort, cleanliness, and organization.</li><li>Interview patients and document basic medical history</li><li>Update medical records.</li><li>Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services</li><li>Assist during medical examinations</li><li>Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments</li></ul>Skills/Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Proven working experience as a medical assistant</li><li>Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures</li><li>Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software</li><li>Degree in medical assistance</li><li>Cultural sensitivity and professionalism in handling diverse populations</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Drivers License/ ID (Required)</li><li>CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification (Preferred)</li><li>CPR Certification (Preferred)</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hourExpected hours: 20 per weekWork Location: In person
