Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional patient experiences.Duties<ul><li>Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.</li><li>Conduct patient assessments by recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.</li><li>Assist dentists during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.</li><li>Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed.</li><li>Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.</li><li>Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office policies.</li><li>Review documentation for accuracy and completeness to ensure proper medical coding and billing processes.</li><li>Adhere strictly to infection control standards using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination within the clinic environment.</li><li>Support pediatric dentistry cases by applying specialized knowledge of pediatrics and working effectively with young patients.</li><li>Manage dental office equipment, supplies, and sterilization procedures to uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.</li><li>Proven experience in general dentistry settings with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred.</li><li>Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes.</li><li>Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.</li><li>Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.</li><li>Experience in chairside assisting combined with medical terminology understanding enhances clinical support capabilities.</li><li>Knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for accurate documentation review and data management.</li><li>Ability to perform medical coding accurately for billing purposes while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
