This paid position is ideal for passionate professionals eager to innovate in mental health care delivery.Responsibilities<ul><li>Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately document mental health conditions.</li><li>Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).</li><li>Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to support clients experiencing acute mental health episodes or trauma, including PTSD care and grief counseling.</li><li>Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical research findings and best practices; adjust interventions based on ongoing patient progress and medical documentation.</li><li>Maintain HIPAA compliance by securely managing medical records, medical terminology documentation, and electronic health records while ensuring confidentiality.</li><li>Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers, case managers, and educators to coordinate patient care for individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or developmental disabilities.</li><li>Engage in continuous professional development by staying current on ICD coding updates, CPT coding practices for billing purposes, and emerging trends in behavioral health treatment.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Fully licensed with the state you reside in</li><li>Proven experience in clinical counseling or mental health therapy with a focus on behavioral health or social work.</li><li>Strong background in psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and addiction counseling.</li><li>Familiarity with telehealth platforms and delivering services remotely via secure video conferencing tools.</li><li>Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic classification; experience with CPT coding for billing is a plus.</li><li>Ability to perform patient assessments, intake procedures, and diagnostic evaluations efficiently while adhering to HIPAA standards.</li><li>Experience working with children, adolescents, geriatrics or individuals with disabilities including autism spectrum disorder; familiarity with special education settings is advantageous.</li><li>Excellent crisis management skills for handling urgent situations involving mental health crises or behavioral disturbances.</li><li>Strong understanding of medical terminology related to mental health conditions; experience with inpatient or outpatient clinic settings preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high-quality patient care standards.
