We work throughout Seattle, with a focus on the historic residences of Capitol Hill and the city&rsquo;s floating homes.Role DescriptionWe&rsquo;re currently hiring a part-time Accounting &amp; HR Manager to help manage our financial operations and keep our administrative processes running smoothly. This hybrid role includes three days in-office and one remote day per week (after training), and is ideal for a reliable, adaptable professional who thrives in a flexible, design-focused environment where independence and attention to detail are appreciated.Responsibilities&middot; Oversee accounts payable: ensure timely payments and maintain strong vendor relationships<ul><li>Manage accounts receivable: prepare invoices, communicate with clients, monitor aging reports, and track incoming cash flow</li><li>Maintain the general ledger in QuickBooks Online: record transactions, journal entries, and reconcile accounts</li><li>Reconcile bank and credit card statements</li><li>Coordinate biweekly payroll with external payroll provider; review employee time tracking</li><li>Administer HR functions: communicate job descriptions, manage performance reviews, and maintain employee records</li><li>Handle insurance and compliance: manage workers&rsquo; comp claims, review liability certificates, and serve as point of contact for commercial, auto, and health insurance</li><li>Calculate and remit state and local excise taxes</li><li>Ensure compliance with W9 documentation and annual 1099 filings</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>5+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping role</li><li>Bachelor's degree or certification in accounting, bookkeeping, or related field</li><li>In depth accounting, payroll, and financial knowledge with a strong attention to detail.</li><li>Proficiency with QuickBooks Online</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite</li><li>Strong understanding of payroll, HR documentation, and compliance</li><li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to work efficiently both independently and in a hybrid environment</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: From $35.00 per hourExpected hours: 20 &ndash; 25 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Work from home</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Seattle, WA 98112
