Job Purpose:To lead and manage the procurement function for raw materials, components, and services required in transformer manufacturing, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely availability.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Strategic Procurement:</li><li>Develop and implement sourcing strategies for critical transformer materials like CRGO, copper, transformer oil, bushings, insulators, radiators, tanks, core materials, and hardware.</li><li>Identify and onboard reliable vendors/suppliers with strong quality and compliance track record.</li><li>Vendor Management:</li><li>Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.</li><li>Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, and delivery.</li><li>Maintain long-term relationships with strategic suppliers.</li><li>Cost &amp; Budget Control:</li><li>Ensure cost optimization through effective negotiations and alternate sourcing.</li><li>Monitor purchase budgets and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.</li><li>Operational Procurement:</li><li>Release purchase orders, track delivery timelines, and coordinate with production &amp; stores for material requirements.</li><li>Ensure timely availability of raw materials and bought-out items to avoid production delays.</li><li>Compliance &amp; Documentation:</li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and quality standards (ISO, BIS, etc.).</li><li>Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase order files, and vendor documents.</li><li>Cross-functional Coordination:</li><li>Collaborate with Design, Production, Quality, and Finance teams for smooth execution of projects.</li><li>Support new product development (NPD) by sourcing new components/materials.</li><li>Market Intelligence:</li><li>Track market trends, raw material price fluctuations, and competitor sourcing strategies.</li><li>Explore opportunities for imports/exports and global sourcing.</li></ul>Key Skills &amp; Competencies:<ul><li>Strong knowledge of transformer industry materials and components.</li><li>Expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, and cost reduction.</li><li>Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally or similar).</li><li>Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.</li><li>Strong understanding of commercial terms, contracts, and logistics.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or Supply Chain Management (preferred).</li><li>MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain or Materials Management is an advantage.</li><li>2-4 years of experience in procurement within the transformer or heavy electrical equipment industry.</li><li>Proven track record of handling large-volume purchases and vendor development.</li></ul>place diversity.Job Type: Full-timePay: &#8377;30,000.00 - &#8377;50,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Willingness to travel:<ul><li>75% (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
