Job DescriptionWe are looking for one or two energetic people to join our team as Bar Support/Security at Wise Man Brewing, acting as an ambassador to our guests, interacting with them in a positive, welcoming manner, providing crowd management and helping maintain a clean and organized environment in the taproom and outside areas.Specific duties and responsibilities include:<ul><li>Greet guests warmly upon their arrival, welcoming them to Wise Man Brewing and thanking them for coming upon their departure.</li><li>When asked, check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol and practice responsible alcohol service.</li><li>Continually walk through the taproom, patio, beer garden and around the building to ensure that guests are safe and adhering to all rules, laws and regulations.</li><li>Bus tables of glasses/cups, returning to the bar. Bus tables of all trash and dispose of properly.</li><li>Monitor and empty all trash cans when full.</li><li>Determine when additional trash cans are required due to crowd and place as needed.</li><li>Help clean-up spills or broken glass as quickly as possible to keep the taproom &amp; outdoor areas safe for our customers.</li><li>De-escalate any conflicts that occur while escorting rowdy clients off premises.</li><li>Deal with aggressive behavior toward staff or other patronsor disobedience with statutory or establishment rules in a calm and professional yet firm manner.</li><li>Execute the accurate and efficient completion of closing duties as assigned by the Shift Leader.</li><li>Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.</li><li>Communicate effectively and positively with team members asking how you can help when there is a break in duties and also asking for help when you need it.</li><li>Steer clients to accessible amenities as needed.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Skills:<ul><li>Previous Barback experience preferred</li><li>Previous Security experience preferred</li><li>Guest-first mentality; Positive attitude with excellent communication skills</li><li>Sense of urgency while maintaining strong attention to detail</li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment as part of a small, closely-knit team</li><li>Independent, quick on your feet, motivated, self-starter and trustworthy</li><li>Ability to de-escalate conflict and deal effectively with the occasional rowdy customer calmly, professionally and firmly.</li><li>Punctuality and effective time-management</li><li>Ability to work evenings and weekends</li><li>Reliable transportation</li><li>Ability to lift 60 pounds and move 165 pounds</li><li>At least 21 years old</li></ul>Compensation: $5+ per hour + TipsJob Type: Part-timeDisqualifying Criminal Offenses:<ul><li>Any conviction, plea of guilty or no contest, or deferred prosecution of any of the following criminal offenses:</li><li>(1) a felony of any kind within 3 years;</li><li>(2) convicted of an alcoholic beverage offense within 2 years; or</li><li>(3) convicted of a misdemeanor controlled substance offense within 2 years that appears on any part of a criminal background check at the time an application.</li></ul>(NOTE: a DWI is NOT considered an &quot;alcoholic beverage offense.&rdquo;)Wise Man Brewing is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.Job Type: Part-timePay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Most shifts will be on Friday between 6 PM - 1 AM and Saturday between noon - 1 AM.
