We are looking for people with great customer service skills, a willingness to find solutions and an interest in all things hardware store. We are a unique local business with over 50 years of history, really awesome customers and a strong team. The position we are looking to fill will be balanced between a customer service role with a customer's first approach and a strong role in our retail inventory management.<ul><li>Work directly with customers in the store, including point-of-sale and customer service in the retail environment.</li><li>Handle cash, check and credit card transactions.</li><li>Accurately scan and enter SKUs into a sales software system.</li><li>Answer phones and assist with basic product questions.</li><li>Assist with restocking shelves.</li><li>Assist with monitoring product levels and retail distributor orders</li><li>Assist with back end inventory reporting and monitoring</li><li>Will be involved with purchasing and receiving responsibilities</li><li>Clean and organize merchandise and assist with labeling products.</li><li>Assist with inventory control and counting.</li><li>Lift at least 20 lbs. without assistance.</li><li>Fill out accurate paperwork and order information.</li><li>Assist with the placement of retail item purchase orders.</li><li>Assist with planning for seasonal inventory changes.</li><li>Assist with changing of retail plan-o-grams</li><li>Involved with store layout and product change decisions.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li><li>Weekend shift rotation required (Saturday 8am-4pm)</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $19.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>People with a criminal record are encouraged to applyWork Location: In person
