<div>We are seeking a driven and experienced Chief Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities Yacht :
1. Operation &amp; Maintenance of All Engineering Systems
<ul><li>Oversee operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.</li><li>
Maintain main engines, generators, gearboxes, propulsion systems, steering gear, and stabilizers.</li><li>
Ensure proper operation of HVAC, water makers, black/grey water systems, pumps, compressors, and fuel systems.</li></ul>
2. Safety, Compliance &amp; Certification
<ul><li>Ensure full compliance with flag-state, class, and international regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM as applicable).</li><li>
Maintain up-to-date engineering logs, safety equipment records, and certificates.</li><li>
Conduct regular safety checks on fire-fighting systems (FIFI), bilge systems, and emergency machinery.</li><li>
Participate in and lead safety drills alongside the Captain.</li></ul>
3. Planned Maintenance System (PMS) Management
<ul><li>Implement and maintain the vessel's PMS (e.g., AMOS, IDEA, or manual schedules).</li><li>
Schedule and carry out preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.</li><li>
Track consumables, running hours, spares usage, and maintenance intervals.</li></ul>
4. Troubleshooting &amp; Emergency Response
<ul><li>Diagnose and resolve mechanical or electrical failures quickly to ensure vessel reliability.</li><li>
Lead emergency responses during engine alarms, power loss, fire, flooding, or fuel issues.</li><li>
Restore critical systems within safe operational limits.</li></ul>
5. Fuel, Water &amp; Energy Management
<ul><li>Oversee bunkering operations, including sampling, safety precautions, and record-keeping.</li><li>
Monitor fuel and oil consumption, emissions, and efficiency.</li><li>
Manage fresh water production and storage, wastewater systems, and power load balancing.</li></ul>
6. Shipyard &amp; Refit Supervision
<ul><li>Plan and supervise yard periods, refits, haul-outs, and major repairs.</li><li>
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and surveyors.</li><li>
Ensure all work meets class and manufacturer specifications.</li></ul>
7. Inventory &amp; Spare Parts Control
<ul><li>Maintain accurate inventory of critical spares, tools, oils, consumables, and technical supplies.</li><li>
Manage procurement, supplier relationships, and budget tracking for the engineering department.</li></ul>
8. Documentation &amp; Technical Reporting
<ul><li>Keep detailed engine room logs, maintenance records, oil record books, defect reports, and manuals.</li><li>
Prepare technical reports for the Captain, management company, or vessel owner.</li><li>
Maintain up-to-date technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals.</li></ul>
9. Crew Management &amp; Collaboration
<ul><li>Supervise any assistant engineer or ETO (if carried).</li><li>
Coordinate closely with the Captain, Officer of the Watch, Deck, and Interior departments.</li><li>
Train crew on emergency equipment, safe engine room practices, and basic troubleshooting.</li></ul>
10. Guest Support &amp; Operational Readiness
<ul><li>Ensure all guest-related systems (A/C, water pressure, generators, stabilizers) run reliably.</li><li>
Provide technical support during guest trips, charters, and long passages.</li><li>
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe engine room environment.</li></ul>
