Position OverviewWe are seeking a talented Magento 2 Developer with strong experience in custom development, theme customization, and advanced module/plugin building. The role involves both daily operational tasks (product &amp; category updates) and deep technical work (core overrides, new feature development, performance fixes).Key Responsibilities1. Daily eCommerce Operations<ul><li>Perform daily product content updates&mdash;pricing, descriptions, images, meta tags, inventory, attributes.</li><li>Manage category updates&mdash;filters, sorting rules, visibility, SEO.</li><li>Ensure catalog accuracy and fix catalog-level issues (wrong price, visibility, stock sync).</li></ul>2. Code-Level Magento DevelopmentTheme &amp; Frontend Customization<ul><li>Modify and customize Magento themes (PHTML, XML, LESS/SASS, Knockout.js, RequireJS).</li><li>Create/modify UI components, custom blocks, widgets, templates, and layout updates.</li><li>Implement frontend enhancements for banners, product pages, cart pages, checkout, etc.</li></ul>Backend Customization<ul><li>Develop custom Magento 2 modules from scratch.</li><li>Build new plugins, observers, crons, and console commands.</li><li>Implement custom logic, custom product logic, promotions, validation, checkout customizations.</li><li>Override core functionality using best-practice methods (Plugins, Preferences, Events/Observers, Virtual Types, DI).</li></ul>New Feature Development<ul><li>Build end-to-end new features (requirement &rarr; development &rarr; testing &rarr; deployment).</li><li>Integrate external APIs, payment gateways, shipping modules, CRM/ERP systems.</li><li>Develop admin configurations (system.xml), custom forms, and backend UI.</li></ul>3. Performance, Security &amp; Deployment<ul><li>Improve site performance: caching, indexing, JS/CSS optimization, query optimization.</li><li>Fix production bugs and perform debugging using logs, Xdebug, or Magento Dev Tools.</li><li>Work with Git, branching, merging, and code reviews.</li><li>Deploy code to staging &amp; production using CI/CD or manual deployment.</li><li>Maintain high security standards and follow Magento best practices.</li></ul>4. Cross-Team Collaboration &amp; Documentation<ul><li>Work with content, design, marketing, and operations teams for daily updates.</li><li>Prepare documentation for new modules, features, and system changes.</li><li>Participate in planning, requirement analysis, and technical discussions.</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Experience<ul><li>3&ndash;6 years of hands-on Magento 2 development experience.</li><li>Strong expertise in:</li></ul>PHP 7/8, MySQL, Magento module development, Plugin/Observer design, Theme customization, Knockout.js, jQuery, RequireJS, Layout/XML/PHTML<ul><li>Experience building custom plugins, modules, and complex business logic.</li><li>Strong understanding of DI container, EAV, MVC, service contracts, repositories.</li><li>Experience with REST &amp; GraphQL APIs.</li><li>Git familiarity (branching, merging, cherry-picking).</li><li>Strong debugging &amp; performance optimization skills.</li></ul>Good to Have<ul><li>Experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.</li><li>Linux/Ubuntu server knowledge (SSH, permissions, cron, Nginx/Apache config).</li><li>AWS or Cloud server experience.</li></ul>Soft Skills<ul><li>Problem-solving and critical thinking ability.</li><li>Ownership mindset and ability to handle tasks end-to-end.</li><li>Excellent communication &amp; teamwork.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: &#8377;40,000.00 - &#8377;50,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
