Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Magento 2 Developer with strong experience in custom development, theme customization, and advanced module/plugin building. The role involves both daily operational tasks (product & category updates) and deep technical work (core overrides, new feature development, performance fixes).

Key Responsibilities1. Daily eCommerce Operations

• Perform daily product content updates—pricing, descriptions, images, meta tags, inventory, attributes.
• Manage category updates—filters, sorting rules, visibility, SEO.
• Ensure catalog accuracy and fix catalog-level issues (wrong price, visibility, stock sync).

2. Code-Level Magento DevelopmentTheme & Frontend Customization

• Modify and customize Magento themes (PHTML, XML, LESS/SASS, Knockout.js, RequireJS).
• Create/modify UI components, custom blocks, widgets, templates, and layout updates.
• Implement frontend enhancements for banners, product pages, cart pages, checkout, etc.

Backend Customization

• Develop custom Magento 2 modules from scratch.
• Build new plugins, observers, crons, and console commands.
• Implement custom logic, custom product logic, promotions, validation, checkout customizations.
• Override core functionality using best-practice methods (Plugins, Preferences, Events/Observers, Virtual Types, DI).

New Feature Development

• Build end-to-end new features (requirement → development → testing → deployment).
• Integrate external APIs, payment gateways, shipping modules, CRM/ERP systems.
• Develop admin configurations (system.xml), custom forms, and backend UI.

3. Performance, Security & Deployment

• Improve site performance: caching, indexing, JS/CSS optimization, query optimization.
• Fix production bugs and perform debugging using logs, Xdebug, or Magento Dev Tools.
• Work with Git, branching, merging, and code reviews.
• Deploy code to staging & production using CI/CD or manual deployment.
• Maintain high security standards and follow Magento best practices.

4. Cross-Team Collaboration & Documentation

• Work with content, design, marketing, and operations teams for daily updates.
• Prepare documentation for new modules, features, and system changes.
• Participate in planning, requirement analysis, and technical discussions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–6 years of hands-on Magento 2 development experience.
• Strong expertise in:

PHP 7/8, MySQL, Magento module development, Plugin/Observer design, Theme customization, Knockout.js, jQuery, RequireJS, Layout/XML/PHTML

• Experience building custom plugins, modules, and complex business logic.
• Strong understanding of DI container, EAV, MVC, service contracts, repositories.
• Experience with REST & GraphQL APIs.
• Git familiarity (branching, merging, cherry-picking).
• Strong debugging & performance optimization skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
• Linux/Ubuntu server knowledge (SSH, permissions, cron, Nginx/Apache config).
• AWS or Cloud server experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
