Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and dependable Yard Laborer to join our team and support the efficient operation of our outdoor work environment. In this role, you will be responsible for handling recyclable materials, operating heavy equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe yard area. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic setting while developing valuable skills in equipment operation and material handling.Duties<ul><li>Operate various types of heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and garbage trucks to move recyclable materials and waste products efficiently.</li><li>Assist with the loading and unloading of recyclable materials, solid waste, and hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations.</li><li>Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, and trucks to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.</li><li>Manage recyclable materials handling processes while adhering to environmental regulations and landfill management protocols.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of the yard by sweeping, picking up debris, and ensuring proper disposal of waste materials.</li><li>Follow all safety protocols including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, helmets, eye protection, and high-visibility clothing.</li><li>Support landfill management activities by organizing materials for recycling or disposal and ensuring environmental compliance standards are met.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks.</li><li>Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance.</li><li>Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation, hazardous materials handling, and sanitation procedures.</li><li>Ability to perform heavy lifting safely in outdoor environments under various weather conditions.</li><li>Knowledge of recyclable materials handling practices and solid waste management procedures.</li><li>Familiarity with landfill operations, environmental compliance standards, and recycling processes.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail for conducting inspections, safety checks, and yard audits.</li><li>Ability to work outdoors for extended periods while maintaining focus on safety and efficiency.</li></ul>Join us as a Yard Laborer to play a vital role in maintaining a safe, organized, and environmentally responsible outdoor workspace!
