Position Summary:The Production Artist (Production / Mock-Ups) is responsible for creating clean, accurate, production-ready artwork and on-product mock-ups for headwear and apparel programs. This role focuses on manufacturable vector art, factory-ready file preparation, and fast-turn client proofs that move efficiently from concept to sampling to production. This is a hands-on production design role.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Convert, adjust, and optimize client-provided artwork to meet production standards</li><li>Prepare clean, accurate, production-ready files for embroidery, screen print, and heat transfer applications</li><li>Troubleshoot file and production issues proactively</li><li>Review and proof all artwork carefully before it moves into production</li><li>Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines</li><li>Create and maintain production templates to improve efficiency and consistency</li><li>Collaborate with Sales, Product Development, and external vendors to support custom team and corporate programs</li><li>Ensure artwork translates accurately from screen to finished physical product</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in graphic design, Visual Communications, Graphic Arts, or equivalent professional experience</li><li>Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat)</li><li>Solid understanding of apparel decoration methods (embroidery, screen printing, heat transfers)</li><li>Experience in a production-driven or print-focused environment</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and file organization skills</li><li>Strong typography, layout, color, and composition instincts</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects without sacrificing accuracy</li><li>Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills</li><li>A proactive, self-starter mindset</li><li>Comfort working in a collaborative, fast-paced startup environment</li></ul>Work Environment<ul><li>Small, highly collaborative team</li><li>Fast-moving, growth-oriented company</li><li>Hands-on involvement in product development</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>Salary $45,000 - $55,000 based on experience</li><li>Opportunity to grow into a long-term or full-time role as Yak Sports scales</li><li>High-impact role within a performance-driven apparel brand</li></ul>Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
