We are building a team of professionals who are curious, driven, and eager to grow within the dynamic landscape of modern accounting and tax services.Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper to support our CPA firm in serving small business and other business accounting clients. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, and helping ensure timely, organized financial reporting for multiple clients. The ideal candidate has formal accounting knowledge, strong attention to detail, and hands-on experience with bookkeeping systems and reconciliations. A CPA license is not required.Key Responsibilities&middot; Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for multiple business clients.&middot; Record and categorize financial transactions in accounting software.&middot; Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts on a regular basis.&middot; Reconcile e-commerce and merchant accounts on a regular basis.&middot; Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including invoice entry and payment tracking.&middot; Prepare and review monthly financial reports, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.&middot; Organize and maintain digital financial records and source documents.&middot; Communicate with internal team members and clients to request missing information and clarify transactions.&middot; Help identify bookkeeping discrepancies and escalate issues as needed.&middot; Support month-end and year-end close processes.&middot; Assist with payroll, sales tax, or 1099-related tasks, if applicable.Required Qualifications&middot; Formal accounting knowledge through an associate&rsquo;s or bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or a related field; or equivalent coursework/certification.&middot; 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting support, or related experience.&middot; Understanding of basic accounting principles, including debits/credits, reconciliations, and financial statement support.&middot; Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, and similar platforms.&middot; Knowledge of merchant platform accounting and reporting is required. (Ex. Shopify, Amazon, eBay, etc.)&middot; Strong Excel and general Microsoft Office skills.&middot; High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.&middot; Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple client accounts in a professional environment.&middot; Strong written and verbal communication skills.&middot; Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.Compensation &amp; Schedule Expectations- Hourly up to $30/hr based on experience- Expect 10-30 hours per week.
