We are looking for a skilled and reliable Automotive Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain gasoline and electric vehicles (heavy focus on fleet units, panel vans, step vans, cuttaways, etc.). The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality repair services in a timely and cost-effective manner.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and test drives.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks, and fluid flushes.</li><li>Repair or replace components including brakes, engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, and heating/air conditioning systems.</li><li>Accurately document work performed, including labor hours and parts used.</li><li>Communicate findings and repair needs clearly with service advisors or customers.</li><li>Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.</li><li>Stay current on automotive technology, tools, and industry best practices.</li><li>Ensure repairs meet quality and safety standards before releasing vehicles.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or GED required; automotive technical training or certification preferred.</li><li>2+ years of experience as an automotive mechanic or technician.</li><li>Proficiency with diagnostic tools, repair manuals, and hand/power tools.</li><li>Strong knowledge of gasoline engines, drive trains, and vehicle systems.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and clean driving record.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-focused attitude.</li></ul>Working Conditions:<ul><li>Fast-paced, hands-on environment in a shop or garage setting.</li><li>May involve working in awkward positions, exposure to loud noises, and handling of automotive fluids and chemicals.</li><li>Overtime or weekend shifts depending on workload.</li><li>May require working on the ground when lift space not available</li><li>Must be able to lift 50 pounds</li></ul>Compensation: To be discussedBenefits: <ul><li>After 90 days, health insurance will be offered if employee chooses to enroll</li><li>401k/profit sharing offered</li><li>Continued learning offered if employee proves to be a good candidate</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
