Your commitment to excellent customer service and safe driving will help enhance patient experiences and support their well-being.Duties<ul><li>Safely operate specialized vehicles designed for transporting patients on stretchers or wheelchairs, ensuring smooth and secure transit.</li><li>Assist patients in boarding, disembarking, and comfortably securing themselves during transport, demonstrating compassion and professionalism at all times.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met and vehicle longevity is preserved.</li><li>Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and patients to coordinate pick-up and drop-off schedules efficiently.</li><li>Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to guarantee a secure environment for passengers and drivers alike.</li><li>Conduct pre-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before each journey.</li><li>Document trip details accurately, including mileage, passenger information, and any incidents or concerns encountered during transport.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license with a clean driving record; experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or limousine service is highly valued.</li><li>Proven experience in commercial driving or as a transportation driver for paratransit or school bus services.</li><li>Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting patients onto stretchers or wheelchairs safely.</li><li>Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, dispatchers, and team members.</li><li>Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify potential issues early and ensure vehicle safety.</li><li>Prior experience with customer service roles that require patience, empathy, and professionalism.</li><li>Safely transport patients using stretcher/gurney equipment in accordance with company policies and safety standards</li><li>Properly load, secure, and unload patients using approved lifting and securement techniques</li><li>Work as part of a two-person stretcher crew when required</li><li>Follow HIPAA privacy requirements and maintain patient confidentiality</li><li>Familiarity with driving regulations related to commercial vehicles and adherence to safety standards at all times.
