Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.Duties<ul><li>Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.</li><li>Maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and polishing as necessary.</li><li>Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify cleaning needs and report maintenance issues.</li><li>Assist with residential painting and minor repairs as needed.</li><li>Carry out commercial and industrial cleaning duties in various settings.</li><li>Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained.</li><li>Respond promptly to requests for cleaning services from staff or management.</li><li>Follow safety protocols and guidelines while performing custodial duties.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing.</li><li>Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance practices.</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.</li><li>Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness.</li><li>Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and management.</li><li>Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting or moving objects.</li></ul>Join us in creating a clean and safe environment!Job Type: Full-timePay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Shift availability:<ul><li>Day Shift (Preferred)</li><li>Night Shift (Preferred)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Scranton, PA 18505 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Scranton, PA 18505: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
