Custodian

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and polishing as necessary.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify cleaning needs and report maintenance issues.
• Assist with residential painting and minor repairs as needed.
• Carry out commercial and industrial cleaning duties in various settings.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
• Respond promptly to requests for cleaning services from staff or management.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while performing custodial duties.

Skills

• Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing.
• Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance practices.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and management.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting or moving objects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
