Job: Summer Day Camp Counselor Hours: M-F | 7AM-6PM (in 5-6 hour shifts)Are you a driven, engaging leader looking to support an efficient team, improve the quality of child care programs and ensure program growth? Provides direct supervision of a group of children in a seasonal day camp. Creates positive, nurturing relationships with children, while building cooperative relationships with parents/caregivers. Promotes and supports the potential of all youth in programs and facilitates peer-to-peer connections as part of the overall camp experience.*Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to apply. *Apply online or at the YMCA front desk.Qualifications<ul><li>Experience working with children in a camp or educational setting strongly preffered</li><li>Strong childcare skills and a passion for youth development</li><li>Certification in First Aid and CPR or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire</li><li>Background in special education or tutoring is a plus</li><li>Ability to engage children through sports and creative activities</li><li>Knowledge of behavior management and childhood development principles is a plus</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: From $8.00 per hourSchedule:<ul><li>Day shift</li></ul>Work Location: In person
