Position: Tax AssociateLocation: In-office, New York, NY (Midtown East)Experience Level: 3&ndash;5 years at Big 4 Accounting (required)Position OverviewZahn Law Global is seeking a Tax Associate with 3&ndash;5 years of experience to join our growing New York office. This role is designed for a candidate with a strong foundation in tax from a Big 4 accounting firm (required) who is looking to transition into a boutique law firm environment advising clients on complex domestic and international tax matters.The ideal candidate will bring technical rigor, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, client-focused practice.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Advise clients on a range of federal, state, and international tax matters</li><li>Support transactional tax structuring transactions</li><li>Conduct tax research and draft memoranda on complex tax issues</li><li>Assist with tax controversy matters, including audits and disputes</li><li>Collaborate with corporate and finance teams on integrated client matters</li><li>Stay current on evolving tax laws and regulatory developments</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>3&ndash;5 years of experience at a Big 4 accounting firm (required)</li><li>Admission to the New York Bar (or ability to become admitted) is a plus</li><li>J.D. from an accredited law school; strong academic credentials (preferred)</li><li>LL.M. in Taxation (preferred)</li><li>Demonstrated experience in tax research and technical writing</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities</li><li>Advanced Excel skillset (required)</li><li>Power Point presentation expertise</li></ul>Work Environment<ul><li>This is a fully in-office position based in our Midtown East location</li><li>Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available for this role</li></ul>Application Requirements<ul><li>Resume</li><li>Writing sample</li></ul>Compensation<ul><li>Base salary: $120,000 &ndash; $150,000, commensurate with experience</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package (details provided during interview process)</li></ul>About Zahn Law GlobalZahn Law Firm is a unique team of premier legal professionals with depths of experience from prior practices at top tier, global firms and corporations, practicing in multiple regions around the world.
