This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in laundry operations within a vibrant hospitality setting.Duties<ul><li>Carefully sort, wash, dry, and iron linens to ensure they meet quality standards for cleanliness and presentation</li><li>Accurately fold linens with precision and consistency, maintaining proper sizing and neatness</li><li>Operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently, including ironing presses, folding tables, and drying equipment</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized laundry area by regularly cleaning workstations and equipment</li><li>Assist with dry cleaning processes when required, ensuring delicate fabrics are handled with care</li><li>Monitor inventory levels of linens and supplies; notify management when stock needs replenishing</li><li>Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Prior experience in laundry operations or hotel housekeeping is highly desirable</li><li>Strong knowledge of laundry procedures including washing, drying, folding, and ironing techniques</li><li>Ability to operate flatwork machinery safely and effectively</li><li>Excellent attention to detail to produce high-quality finished linens</li><li>Good organizational skills to manage workload efficiently in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Basic cleaning skills to maintain hygiene standards in the laundry area</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with a positive attitude</li></ul>This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a clean, comfortable environment while honing their skills in laundry services.
