Duties

• Carefully sort, wash, dry, and iron linens to ensure they meet quality standards for cleanliness and presentation
• Accurately fold linens with precision and consistency, maintaining proper sizing and neatness
• Operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently, including ironing presses, folding tables, and drying equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized laundry area by regularly cleaning workstations and equipment
• Assist with dry cleaning processes when required, ensuring delicate fabrics are handled with care
• Monitor inventory levels of linens and supplies; notify management when stock needs replenishing
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues

Skills

• Prior experience in laundry operations or hotel housekeeping is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of laundry procedures including washing, drying, folding, and ironing techniques
• Ability to operate flatwork machinery safely and effectively
• Excellent attention to detail to produce high-quality finished linens
• Good organizational skills to manage workload efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic cleaning skills to maintain hygiene standards in the laundry area
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with a positive attitude
