Our philosophy of Lutheran education is rooted in the shared confession of Jesus Christ as taught in Holy Scripture. https://www.zionconcord.org/Job Description for Administrative Assistant at Zion Lutheran Church and Zion-Concord Lutheran SchoolThis church and school administrative assistant has a dual reporting structure.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist the pastor and the principal.</li><li>Answer the telephone.</li><li>Monitor entrance and other doors.</li><li>Communicate with church members, faculty, staff, and school families.</li><li>Responsible for school billing, payment application, and account reconciliation.</li><li>Process weekly hot lunch orders, payments, and create menus.</li><li>Manage distribution of student medications and maintain log.</li><li>Open and distribute mail for church and school.</li><li>Process bank deposits and maintain required documentation.</li><li>Document donations and send thank-you letters.</li><li>Complete and send required state billing reports.</li><li>Ensure new employee paperwork is completed</li><li>Create and distribute new student enrollment packets.</li><li>Maintain student enrollment roster.</li><li>Maintain church membership data.</li><li>Send monthly billing statements to families and monitor accounts for delinquency.</li><li>Maintain records in church and school information systems.</li><li>Schedule required vision and hearing screenings.</li><li>Create and distribute field trip forms.</li><li>Assist Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) as needed.</li><li>Assist with student illness or injury.</li><li>Review and pay invoices.</li><li>Assist principal with reporting.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Job Types: Semi Part-Time<ul><li>This position is not eligible for benefits.</li></ul>Schedule :<ul><li>Church - Tuesday to Friday: (8 hours per week)</li><li>School - Monday to Friday: (Hours will vary based on when school is in session.)</li></ul>Work Location: One locationJob Type: Semi Part-Time for school only: (off on school holidays, Thanksgiving break, Christmas break, spring break, etc.)Salary: $15.00 - $18.00 per hourSchedule:<ul><li>Day shift</li><li>Monday to Friday</li><li>Less hours in summer (as determined by the principal)</li></ul>Ability to commute/relocate:<ul><li>Bensenville, IL 60106: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)</li><li>Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)</li><li>Time management: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In-personJob Type: Part-timePay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
