Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Lead Pharmacy Intake Coordinator / Billing Specialist to join our healthcare team. This vital roll combines leadership in pharmacy intake processes with expert medical billing responsibilities. You will oversee the coordination of patient intake, ensure accurate documentation, and manage billing workflows to optimize revenue cycle management. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong administrative and clinical skills, this opportunity is perfect for you!Duties<ul><li>Lead the pharmacy intake process by supervising patient registration, medication histories, and insurance verification to ensure seamless onboarding.</li><li>Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.</li><li>Coordinate with insurance providers to verify coverage, process claims efficiently, and resolve billing discrepancies or denials promptly.</li><li>Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and maintain meticulous medical records for accuracy and confidentiality.</li><li>Provide training and guidance to staff on billing procedures, coding updates, and system usage to improve departmental performance.</li><li>Support front desk operations by handling patient inquiries via multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette while managing appointment scheduling and office workflows.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Extensive experience in medical collection processes, insurance verification, and billing workflows.</li><li>Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, ICD-9/10 coding standards, CPT coding, and Medicare guidelines.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to review complex documentation related to care plans and medical records accurately.</li><li>Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively.</li><li>Prior pharmacy experience with office management responsibilities including intake procedures and medical administrative support.</li><li>Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft / Google Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing, and familiarity with health information management software like LifeFile.</li><li>Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette for handling patient interactions at the front desk or via phone calls.</li></ul>Strong organizational skills for filing, documentation review, and multi-tasking within busy healthcare environments.Join us in making a positive impact on patient care through efficient intake coordination and precise billing practices!
