Duties
- Lead the pharmacy intake process by supervising patient registration, medication histories, and insurance verification to ensure seamless onboarding.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with insurance providers to verify coverage, process claims efficiently, and resolve billing discrepancies or denials promptly.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and maintain meticulous medical records for accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on billing procedures, coding updates, and system usage to improve departmental performance.
- Support front desk operations by handling patient inquiries via multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette while managing appointment scheduling and office workflows.
Skills
- Extensive experience in medical collection processes, insurance verification, and billing workflows.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, ICD-9/10 coding standards, CPT coding, and Medicare guidelines.
- Demonstrated ability to review complex documentation related to care plans and medical records accurately.
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
- Prior pharmacy experience with office management responsibilities including intake procedures and medical administrative support.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft / Google Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing, and familiarity with health information management software like LifeFile.
- Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette for handling patient interactions at the front desk or via phone calls.
Strong organizational skills for filing, documentation review, and multi-tasking within busy healthcare environments.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
