Job Overview The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood care / education, and a genuine passion for caring for infants and little children.Candidates who apply must be 18+ years old with a high school diploma or GED. Already having your CDA as well as your CPR &amp; First Aid certification is an advantage. Being able to communicate well verbally and in writing, as well as displaying a willingness to learn, and flexibility to take on tasks, is highly desirable.As a Childcare Center employee, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. Your responsibilities will include developmentally appropriate activities, and ensuring the overall well-being of each child in your care.Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide high-quality childcare at all times</li><li>Implement engaging interactions that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education standards.</li><li>Ensure the safety and well-being of all children.</li><li>Monitor and assess children's progress, adapting methods to meet individual needs.</li><li>Drive development through age-appropriate activities.</li><li>Communicate on children's activities, progress, needs &amp; any concerns that arise.</li><li>Ensure compliance with HHSC Minimum standards and health &amp; safety regulations, including first aid protocols.</li><li>Collaborate effectively with colleagues towards a cohesive work environment for all, and a positive educational experience for all students.</li><li>Keep assigned classrooms neat / organized, and tidy up/ sanitize at the end of each day.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Previous experience working in a licensed childcare setting is preferred. Experience with multiple age groups is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of a good variety of room management techniques and positive behavior management strategies for a supportive learning environment.</li><li>Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and have experience dealing patiently with children and adults.</li></ul>Pay: $10.00 - $13.25 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Professional development assistance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
