Childcare Teacher - Infant/Toddlers (Part-time to Full-Time)

Job Overview
The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood care / education, and a genuine passion for caring for infants and little children.

Candidates who apply must be 18+ years old with a high school diploma or GED. Already having your CDA as well as your CPR & First Aid certification is an advantage. Being able to communicate well verbally and in writing, as well as displaying a willingness to learn, and flexibility to take on tasks, is highly desirable.

As a Childcare Center employee, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. Your responsibilities will include developmentally appropriate activities, and ensuring the overall well-being of each child in your care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality childcare at all times
• Implement engaging interactions that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education standards.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
• Monitor and assess children's progress, adapting methods to meet individual needs.
• Drive development through age-appropriate activities.
• Communicate on children's activities, progress, needs & any concerns that arise.
• Ensure compliance with HHSC Minimum standards and health & safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues towards a cohesive work environment for all, and a positive educational experience for all students.
• Keep assigned classrooms neat / organized, and tidy up/ sanitize at the end of each day.

Experience

• Previous experience working in a licensed childcare setting is preferred. Experience with multiple age groups is a plus.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices is a plus.
• Knowledge of a good variety of room management techniques and positive behavior management strategies for a supportive learning environment.
• Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and have experience dealing patiently with children and adults.

Pay: $10.00 - $13.25 per hour
