Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and professional Yacht Marina Captain to oversee the safe operation, navigation, and management of yachts operating within UAE waters. The ideal candidate will ensure full compliance with UAE maritime laws, maintain high safety standards, and deliver excellent service to owners and guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate and navigate yachts within UAE coastal and international waters.
• Ensure compliance with UAE maritime regulations, port authority rules, and safety standards.
• Manage all onboard operations, including vessel maintenance and cleanliness.
• Supervise, train, and manage crew members.
• Plan routes and itineraries considering weather, tides, and port regulations.
• Conduct safety briefings and emergency drills.
• Maintain accurate logs, licenses, and vessel documentation.
• Liaise with marinas, port authorities, and yacht owners.
• Ensure a professional and high-quality experience for guests.

Requirements & Qualifications

Mandatory:

• Valid Yacht Captain License recognized in the UAE.
• (MCA, RYA, USCG, or equivalent – subject to UAE acceptance).
• Valid STCW Certification.
• Valid Medical Fitness Certificate (ENG1 or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Yacht Captain or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of navigation, seamanship, and safety procedures.
• Familiarity with UAE waters, ports, and marina operations.

Preferred:

• Previous experience working in the UAE or GCC region.
• Knowledge of UAE maritime laws and local authorities (e.g., Dubai Maritime City Authority).
• Strong leadership and crew management skills.
• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
• Professional appearance and strong customer service skills.
