1 on 1 Teacher

Tutors for Tally is seeking a professional team-player who is knowledgeable in the domains of math and reading for students in Kindergarten - 8th grade. This role is instrumental in helping our students reach their full potential by using assessment data to develop personalized learning plans. Successful candidates for this position have a working knowledge of the content that is taught in each grade level, and the flexibility to adjust learning plans to meet individual student needs. Experience may come from a classroom teaching position, or a related field.

Key job duties include:

1.) Assign assessment materials for initial assessments and progress monitoring for students in K-6th grade in the subjects of math, reading, and writing.

2.) Write assessment reports and intervention plans to communicate assessment results to parents, and to provide tutors with a detailed breakdown of missing foundational skills that will allow students to attain grade-level proficiency.

3.) Hold meetings with parents to review assessment results and communicate student progress.

4.) Provide 1:1 tutoring for students.

5.) Observe, coach, and provide positive and constructive feedback to tutors. Assist tutors in regards to student engagement, motivation, and selecting materials to match their instructional level and learning needs.

6.) Consult with the Director in regards to student progress and tutor performance.
