Job Summary

The Department of Biotechnology in the School of Arts and Sciences at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) seeks to hire a full time faculty member for Assistant Professor rank starting Fall 2026. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, or a related discipline. Prior successful university level teaching experience employing high-impact educational practices and experience working effectively with globally diverse student populations are required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses related to Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Hold office hours; one hour per course per week.
• Complete mandatory quality assurance requirements each semester (Course DASPA, Program DASPA, Course Files and Syllabi).
• Participate in Department, School of Arts and Sciences, and University meetings, as possible.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A doctoral degree in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) designation accredited by a recognized body or equivalent DHA qualification.
• Effective oral and written English communication skills.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching, including high-impact educational practices at the university level.
• Experience working effectively with a diverse student population.
• Ability to collaborate with faculty from a variety of disciplines.
