    Job Summary: To assist in ensuring that all students attend school on a regular basis and to provide timely and accurate student attendance reports to the faculty.

    Qualifications: To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
    • High school diploma plus one year experience in similar position.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Good administrative support, clerical, and computer skills.
    • Ability to work independently and have good organizational skills.
    • Ability to operate standard office machines.
    • Proficiency in the use of technology for individual and system management, communication, and research.
    • Must successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements.
    • Candidate must adhere to all local, state, federal, and school code requirements for employment.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Assists the principal in the daily operation of the office.
    • Welcomes and assists parents, students, and teachers including answering questions and taking messages.
    • Answers telephone; sorts and distributes mail.
    • Maintains records and files for daily attendance and handles attendance hotline.
    • Processes enrollment and withdrawal records. Processes kindergarten registration forms and makes student files.
    • Maintains, updates, and files student records.
    • Provides backup for 12-month Administrative Assistant.
    • Prepares daily bulletin using word processing.
    • Coordinates facility usage using current software system.
    • Ensures safe dismissal of all students to appropriate adult, day care van, or school bus.
    • Maintains student releases.
    • Checks in supply orders during school year.
    • Assists Home and School Association as needed.
    • Assists in creating concert programs – sets up, types, illustrates, copies, and assembles.
    • Schedules student assemblies.
    • Arranges transportation for field trips.
    • Maintains monthly school calendar.
    • Acts a liaison with security service.
    • Counts monthly menus for distribution.
    • Creates and maintains position procedure outline to describe day to day duties of the position/department as needed.

    Eligibility - No Waiting Period

    All employees may enroll in the district's health benefit plans effective with their date of hire into the benefit eligible position.

    Eligible Dependents
    A legally married spouse as defined by PA law and children up to age 26 may enroll in the District's health benefit plans.

    New Hires or Newly Eligible
    You have 31 days from the date that you are benefit eligible to make your elections. If you do not make elections during this time, you will only be enrolled into any benefit that is provided by the District at no cost to you.

    Life Benefit

    Pays 1 x your basic annual salary up to maximum of $60,000
    Income Protection Benefit
    Pays 60% of your basic monthly pay, up to $1,500 per month
    Paid Time Off
    • 10 sick days annually
    • 3 personal days annually for full-time employees; 2 annually for part-time
    • 9 paid holidays per year
    Tuition Reimbursement
    Pro-rated 75% of tuition if grade of ‘B' or better is attained; limit 12 credits per year.
    Salary Increases
    Minimum of 3.3% per year
