Job Overview
The Raw Materials Procurement Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the procurement process of raw materials required for production or manufacturing. They ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials while maintaining quality standards and building relationships with suppliers.
Main Responsibilities And KPI’s

Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials based on production requirements and cost considerations.

Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and stay updated on industry trends.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine raw material specifications and quality standards.

Plan and forecast raw material need to ensure uninterrupted production.

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, reliability, and pricing.

Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms of delivery.

Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic evaluations.

Coordinate and oversee the procurement process, including issuing purchase orders and tracking deliveries.

Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.

Analyze procurement data, such as costs, lead times, and supplier performance, to identify opportunities for improvement.

Prepare reports and present findings to management, highlighting key metrics and recommendations.

Education And Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in chemical engineering (preferred) or supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.

Professional certifications in procurement (e.g., CIPP) (preferred).

Minimum 3 years of experience in raw materials procurement and supplier management.

Strong knowledge of procurement practices, supplier management, and contract negotiation.

Familiarity with raw materials used in the specific industry or sector.

Experience in analyzing data and making data-driven decisions.

Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.

Good knowledge of using SAP & Microsoft office apps.
