1:1 Preschool Student Aide

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Preschool Student Aide to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The Aide will provide individualized support to a 3 year old child within a classroom setting. This position is unique in that the aide will be hired and paid directly by the child's family, not by the childcare center. The aide will work collaboratively within the classroom environment to support the child's developmental, behavioral, and educational needs.

Duties

• Provide personalized support to assigned student, assisting with daily activities, transitions, and behavioral management.
• Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and nurturing environment conducive to learning and exploration
• Assist with implementing curriculum development strategies aligned with early childhood education standards such as Montessori or other pedagogical approaches
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote language development, literacy education, and early numeracy skills
• Work one-on-one with students who have disabilities or special needs, including those with autism or other developmental challenges
• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and specialists to track progress and address individual student requirements

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in preschool or daycare settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and special education practices
• Familiarity with lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques
• Experience working with children who have disabilities or special needs is advantageous
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators, parents, and specialists
• Ability to work independently while following guidance from lead teachers and administrators
• Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is a plus
• Passion for working with young children and supporting their growth in a nurturing environment
