About the student

• 11th grade student
• The student needs to work with a tutor to prepare for the SAT (both math and ELA sections) test.
• The student is in 11th grade attending Glenelg High School. She has struggled previously with the math and reading/writing sections of the SAT. She wants someone to help her with technique and approach to the exam, as well as study and drilling assistance. She does well in school, typically a straight A student but she's not a great test taker. The focus will be on studying, developing good habits, and teaching her ways to approach the material in a way that boosts her confidence.
• The student requires advanced-level preparation for the SAT, with particular emphasis on both the Math and Reading/Writing sections, where she is currently experiencing difficulty. She would benefit from targeted standardized test preparation to address skill gaps and improve her overall performance.
• The goal is for her to be prepared for taking the test this year.
• The family is asking for 1.5-2 hour sessions once a week on Sunday between 11am-8pm.
• The family is seeking a tutor who can meet at their home in Glenwood.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates have prior experience working with high school students.
• Ideal candidates will have prior experience tutoring or teaching SAT test prep.
• Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles)
• Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor.

Student Availability

SUN: 11:00am-8:00pm
