Position Summary: 1st Grade Teacher

Bultum Academy is seeking a highly motivated and energetic 1st Grade Teacher who is committed to helping young learners build strong foundational skills. The ideal candidate is dedicated to supporting student growth in early literacy, math, and social-emotional learning while creating a structured, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality instruction in early literacy, math, and other core content areas aligned to school and state standards.
• Build strong foundational reading skills (phonics, decoding, fluency, and comprehension) and early writing skills.
• Differentiate instruction to meet a range of learning needs, including support for students receiving special education services.
• Establish clear routines, expectations, and positive behavior supports to maintain a safe and productive learning environment.
• Monitor student progress using formative and summative assessments; adjust instruction based on data.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress, classroom expectations, and learning goals.
• Collaborate with grade-level and support staff (special education, interventionists, EAs, and coaches) to ensure student success.
• Participate in professional learning and stay current on best practices in early childhood/elementary education.

Pay: $43,200.00 - $54,000.00 per year
