1st Mortgage Processors perform the following functions:
- Ensure thorough reviews of loan documents, disclosures, credit reports, income assets, compliance reports, and underwriting system details.
- Maintain timely communications with borrowers.
- Ordering appraisals, title, and condo questionnaires, and updating all necessary documentation accurately before submitting to underwriting.
- Update transmittal summary and URLA upon receiving appraisal, title, or additional documents, addressing any concern promptly.
- Communicate any updates and outstanding conditions to all parties within 48 hours and work toward loan approval at least 5 days before closing.
- Reviewing pre-qualifications to determine appropriate programs and products for members.
- Exercise sound judgment and discretion while remaining compliant with well-defined limits and guidelines.
- Deliver problem solving solutions and perform research as needed.
- Provide technical solutions in support of MIDFLORIDA’s electronic services.
- Professional and efficient communications with all departments promoting synergy.
- Exhibit a high degree of integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism always.
- Exude a positive and professional attitude with members and partners consistently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
- Possess excellent customer service skills along with strong verbal and written communications skills.
- 1 to 3 years’ experience with loan processing and market guidelines.
- Thorough understanding of Federal and State mortgage regulations.
- The eligibility to meet the requirements of the SAFE Act to be registered as an MLO with NMLS.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Position is an "In office, NOT a remote position."
