1st Shift Dispatcher (Logistics/Transportation)

HIRING FOR: SUNDAY - WEDNESDAY, 8AM - 6:30PM

Duties

Coordinate daily dispatch activities by assigning loads to drivers based on delivery schedules, confirming these drivers, vehicle availability, and route optimization.
Monitor loads and drivers to ensure efficient routing, real-time tracking, and adherence to delivery timelines.
Communicate effectively with drivers via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette while providing clear instructions and support.
Manage information that is being entered to ensure accuracy is being delivered in all updates sent out.
Provide our Customer with timely, accurate updates
Maintain consistent and detailed communications with team and management

Requirements

Proven experience in dispatching or transportation management within a logistics or supply chain environment.
Strong knowledge of transportation planning tools including GPS devices, TMS system, and a sense of urgency
Experience with Class A Drivers and routing/planning
Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multiple phone lines efficiently while maintaining professionalism.
Demonstrated analysis skills for reviewing transportation data and optimizing routes or processes.
Proficiency in data entry with high attention to detail using systems Excel, TMS systems, email and text/phone etiquette
