What Will You Do?

To perform the Quality Auditor job successfully an individual must audit construction standards, component parts and/ or finished assembled product in a timely manner by performing each essential function of this job satisfactorily at a sustained level of productivity. The Quality Auditor communicates quality needs/requirements to the supervisor. Maintain quality data in appropriate computer systems.

  • Perform audits of processes, parts and assembled goods (according to specs and BOM’s)
  • Perform audits of final inspection of assembled product to ensure quality standards are met in regards to flaws, tailoring/workmanship defects, shade(s), mechanism operation and overall appearance/texture.
  • Assist in repair of minor quality defects by steaming, heating, regulating, touching up or making minor adjustments.
  • Maintain daily records of types of defects identified
  • Place and/ or push parts and finished units onto conveyor belt with or without mechanical assistance
  • Stack and un-stack parts and finished units
  • Inform appropriate management of quality problems.
  • Conducting training in classroom setting and one-on-one
  • Periodically assist in special assigned projects as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and activities
  • Assist with training of other employees
  • Attend scheduled training sessions
  • Maintain reliable attendance
  • Work as a member of a team
  • Follow safe work practices
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

What Do You Need?

Education Requirements: High school diploma preferred

Required Experience: 6 months in quality and manufacturing preferred

Licenses or Certifications: None

Necessary Skills and Abilities: Read, write, and comprehend basic communications; basic counting and math skills; Measure using English and Metric scales; Communicate professionally with others; Basic AS-400 skills; Basic PC skills; Displays initiative; Knowledge of products, product flow and familiarity with manufacturing work areas and locations; Problem solve in a fast paced environment; Read and interpret engineering drawings; Reliable; Punctual; Complete duties in accordance with company policy.
