Overview
:
As the 1st Team Performance Analyst – Set Pieces at Al-Qadsiah Club, you will lead the club’s set piece analysis provision. You will deliver detailed, evidence-based insights to support decision-making, session design, and performance improvement, integrating both video and data across match-by-match and longitudinal analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Opposition Set Piece Analysis

Provide detailed analysis of opposition set pieces, identifying strengths and weaknesses in attacking and defending phases

Maintain structured databases of opposition set pieces to support efficient analysis and trend identification

Present clear and actionable insights to the Set Piece Coach and wider coaching staff

Collaborate with data and technology teams to integrate data into analysis outputs

Support the creation of player-facing presentations to communicate roles and responsibilities
-
Deliver live analysis during training and matches to influence performance in real time
Qadsiah Set Piece Analysis

Produce detailed post-match reviews in collaboration with the Set Piece Coach

Integrate video and data to analyse both team and individual performance
-
Maintain a comprehensive database of Qadsiah set pieces to track trends across multiple matches

Utilise tracking data to enhance individual player performance and set piece outcomes
Best Practice and Research Analysis

Maintain a best practice library of set pieces to support ongoing learning and development

Research trends and innovations in set piece strategy in collaboration with internal departments

Translate insights into practical recommendations for coaching staff
Collaboration and Department Support

Support on-pitch delivery alongside the Set Piece Coach

Contribute to wider analysis department workflows and projects

Maintain professional standards and engage in continuous development
Qualifications
Desirable:
-
Master’s degree in Performance Analysis or a related field
-
Certification in Football Analysis (e.g. PFSA, Barça Innovation Hub, FA courses)

UEFA coaching qualifications or formal tactical training
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Essential:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Performance Analysis or a related field
-
Proven experience as a performance analyst in professional football, ideally with a focus on set pieces

Advanced tactical and technical understanding of set piece strategies

Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights
-
Proficiency in video analysis tools such as Hudl, Wyscout, and Sportscode
-
Strong ability to produce detailed reports and presentations for players and staff
-
Experience analysing performance data within a football context
-
Ability to work to deadlines in high-pressure environments
-
Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
-
Fluency in English
Desirable:

Experience designing training sessions linked to individual development

Multilingual capability

Experience working in the Middle East
