2 Days/Week Infant Nanny

Northwest Indiana Nannies is assisting this family with their nanny search.

$20-25/hour, PT 18 hours/week, Nanny’s choice of days: Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays 8:30am-5:30pm.

WFH parents are looking for a collaborative relationship with a nanny who works well having autonomy during the day. The family hopes to have additional child(ren) in the future, so this position has room to change and expand over time. This is a long-term (4+ years) part-time position requiring a 6 month Work Agreement, with expected renewals.

The main responsibilities of this position will be the care of the child and related duties, as outlined below. Training/Education in Early Childhood Development is important to this family and is therefore strongly preferred to be considered for this position.

Position to start in March 2026. PTO and Guaranteed Hours are offered.

• Hourly Rate: $20-25/hour depending on education level
• Schedule: Part-Time 18 hours/week, Nanny’s choice of days: Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays 8:30am-5:30pm.

• Family Personality: Organized and tidy, both parents are more on the serious side, but they like to have fun too. As a family they enjoy traveling, eating at restaurants, going on walks, and having new experiences together. Both parents WFH and have dedicated office spaces within the home. They strive to implement evidence-based parenting when possible. They care a lot about what science says about child development and parenting. They encourage their son to explore and learn, while helping him feel secure in being independent.

• Experience & Education Requirements:
• High School Degree or equivalent required.
• College level Education/Training in Early Childhood Development strongly preferred.
• 2+ Years of professional childcare experience required.
• Knowledge of early childhood developmental milestones required.
• Children: 9 month old boy.
• Pets: 7 year old, female, 35 lb Huskey-Rat Terrier Mix
• House Management: none required.
• Level of Activity: Regular outdoor activities are expected in nice weather. Visits to play places, parks, the community splash pad, etc. are to be regular occurrences. The home has three levels with many stairs.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
