2-Year-Old Classroom Teacher

Ant’s Farm Childcare Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 2-Year-Old Classroom Teacher to join our team. This role is ideal for an educator who has a heart for young children, thrives in a nurturing environment, and has direct experience supporting children with special needs. The teacher will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth for all children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement daily activities that support the developmental milestones of 2-year-olds, including language, motor, social, and self-help skills.
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of children, including those with developmental delays, behavioral challenges, or other special needs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and encourages peer interactions.
  • Provide consistent routines and structure while maintaining flexibility to meet the needs of each child.
  • Collaborate with families, therapists, and support staff to create and implement individualized learning strategies and behavior support plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of children’s progress, incidents, and communication with families.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment in line with state licensing and health/safety regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training, including special needs and early childhood best practices.

Qualifications

  • CDA (Child Development Associate) or degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field preferred.
  • At least 1–2 years of classroom experience with toddlers, including experience supporting children with special needs.
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative spirit.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.

Position Overview

We are looking for a caring, energetic, and experienced 2-Year-Old Classroom Teacher to join our Ant’s Farm family. What You’ll Do
