POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The job of Technology Software TOA is done for the purpose of supporting use of computer- based software and information systems at the district and site levels; supporting the school sites in the management of school site data for information systems; and providing end-user technical support, training, through the district technology help desk operation.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of website and software approval processes including but not limited to workflows, requests, Data Governance Agreements, supported/unsupported lists, security policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with district stakeholders to design, build and support existing and new automated/semi-automated workflows using Microsoft Office 365 Applications, data analytical tools and Microsoft Power Apps or similar.
  • Ability to research, learn and advise on existing or new technologies using online resources or webinars to innovate, develop and/or automate processes with minimal supervision.
  • Manage and maintain Information Technology content online.
  • Support district Information Technology help desk.
  • Research, troubleshoot and collaborate with vendors as needed to resolve technical support issues in response to user inquiries.
  • Learn and write SQL queries.
  • Provide on-site and one-on-one training as appropriate.
  • Provide documentation and training to sta? for the purpose of ensuring best use of new and existing software/workflows.
  • Provide data systems reports and data analysis as needed.
  • Coordinate district-wide mass communications and reporting.
  • Work collaboratively and cooperatively with all district personnel in the development of online training courses.
  • Collect and analyze requirements, coordinate, and support existing/new system implementations and data integrations with district or 3rd party systems.
  • Provide admin support on 3rd party systems to district users and leadership.
  • Work with multiple projects concurrently, both independently and as a member of a collaborative team.
  • Carry out any special projects or other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Experience

Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is desired


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Meet professional teacher education requirements of school, district and state
  • Standard Teaching certificate from Arizona Department of Education preferred
  • Relevant teaching experience
  • Knowledge of relevant technology


LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid fingerprint clearance card from Department of Public Safety (DPS)


KNOWLEDGE

KNOWLEDGE required performing algebra; reading technical information, composing a variety of documents, and/or facilitating group discussions; and analyzing situations to define issues and draw conclusions.

Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes: pertinent codes, policies, regulations and/or laws; computer hardware and software.


SKILLS

SKILLS required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to routinely upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operate equipment utilized in position; operate standard office equipment; utilize pertinent software applications (Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel, PDF, SharePoint, Google Suite for Education); plan and manage projects, and proficiency in working with SQL databases and tables.


ABILITY

ABILITY required to schedule activities, meetings, and/or events; routinely gather, collate, and/or classify data; and consider a number of factors when using equipment. Flexibility is required to independently work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; and analyze data utilizing a variety of complex processes. Ability is also required to work with a significant diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with data of varied types and/or purposes; and utilize a variety of job- related equipment. In working with others, problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data requires analysis based on organizational objectives; and problem solving with equipment is moderate.

Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include communication with diverse groups; meet deadlines and schedules, recordkeeping.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.


Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.


This job involves traveling within the school district visiting school sites as well as meetings held outside the district.


Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.
