Description
Are you interested in solving critical challenges for the United States Navy?
Do you love the idea of working with large, complex system dynamics models? Does the challenge of processing and analyzing real-world data from U.S. submarine support networks excite you? Would you love to create and validate simulations of complex logistics frameworks?
If you are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar major, and want to work in an exciting and collaborative environment, we’d love to have you join our team!
We are seeking an intern ready to embrace challenges associated with simulating complex real-world system behavior in MATLAB/Simulink. Experience with writing MATLAB code and performing simulations is helpful, but you will also be learning and developing new skills in this role.
A willingness to learn and embrace change is essential!
As a member of our team...
-
Your primary responsibility will be to develop robust, performant models in MATLAB/Simulink and perform validation of those models. We will provide existing code for you to learn, review, and improve upon.
-
You will implement and iterate on MATLAB/Simulink-specific coding best-practices using guidelines provided by the team and alongside an experienced mentor.
-
You will develop post-processing utilities in MATLAB to visualize the results of your simulation against real-world data to validate the accuracy and completeness of the simulation.
