Monroe School District is a prek-8 school with an anticipated enrollment for FY27 of 90 students Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include: Serve as a special education resource person for staff and parentsApply knowledge of learning theories, child and adolescent psychology, curriculum and researchFollow state and district screening and evaluation procedures to determine if a student has an educational disabilityAssist in designing and implementing IEPs with required IEP teamProvide direct service for selected students with disabilitiesConsult with classroom teachers of students with disabilitiesProvide daily planning and gathering of instructional materials to implement IEPs, as neededEnsure accuracy and frequent data entry in NHSEISMonitor student progress in cooperation with classroom teachers and provide periodic progress reports to parentServe as case manager for special education students in grades pk-8Ensure that all steps in the special education process are completed in a timely manner as required by state laws, federal laws and District policies and proceduresEstablish and maintain student behavior supports for identified students as neededFulfill all teaching responsibilities in conformance with school board policies, school district procedures, and the current negotiated agreementMaintain confidentialityQualifications: NH Certification in Special EducationMinimum of a Bachelors degree in related areasDemonstrated ability to consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, related service providers, and supervisorsDemonstrated strengths in organization and communicationSuch alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptableReports to: District AdministratorDegree Preferred - Bachelor with 5 years of experienceWork year and day subject to individual contract.
